Taste of Denmark # 6
Cookie and ‘Kringle’ Baker

Historically the Danish coffee table consists of many kinds of cakes – in Southern Jutland, it consists of at least 21 different cakes! 7 hard, 7 soft and 7 dry – and it is still to be seen (and eaten) in that part of Denmark…

In the rest of Denmark it is usually just 3-4 different. The most common is a tea bun with butter, the special ‘kringle’ and butter cookies. For birthdays and other special occasions a layer cake with lots of whipped cream is also a must.

Join this baking course and learn how
to bake tea buns,  3 different Danish buttercookies and chef Kromans delicious ‘kringle’ – a classic ‘old timer’ from the Danish coffee table and last but not least: The layer cake!

We will of course taste the scrumptious results but you’ll also get your own cookie box to keep so you can bring the left overs (if any!) with you.

We will serve you a sandwich, coffee, tea and soft drinks during the baking class
